Join a video call
You can participate to online Activities or experiences held by myHolidayActivities' activity providers using Skype/Zoom platforms. Once Activity is confirmed and booked, you’ll get an email invite link for Skype or Zoom meeting 48 hours prior to activity session. You can participate either using your web browser or thru Zoom/Skype app. Before the Activity session, make sure you’re logged into your meeting IDs and you’ve checked your mic and camera to avoid any disturbance.

Activity Summary
What is it all about?
This course is aimed at beginner silversmiths. Giving you an insight into the of traditional techniques of Silversmithing covering raising, forging, forming and fabricating.
What Are You Doing
Over the 8 weeks, you will focus on three different projects. The first project you will learn how to fabricate a spoon from two pieces of metal. The second project will be raising a small bowl and learning about the planishing finishing technique. The third project will be focused on forging, here we will make a spoon again, although this will be in a different style and made from one piece of metal. If you wanted to further your knowledge and skill set, you can book a further 8 weeks after the initial course. On this second block, you will learn about box making and seamed raising to make a small jug. Available Monday - Friday Times Available: 2PM - 4:30PM or 6:30 PM - 9 PM
