Online experiences are a virtual version of MyHolidayActivities Experiences. Every experience is a live, immersive video session that was introduced as a way for hosts and guests to communicate with one another during the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Just like the In-person Activities, Online experiences introduce guests to experienced hosts, provide a means to meet and connect with other people, and provide a remote-friendly format for anyone who is quarantined and at home.

With engaging activities and small group sizes, online experiences are so much better than the passive, pre-recorded "entertainment" opportunities that are commonly available.

People can participate in online activities from their homes or anywhere in the world. What they need is an internet connection; guests ought not be needed in a certain area or to carry or pay a lot of money in order to participate.

How do i Express Interest?

Publishing an online experiences follows nearly the same process as in-person experiences at myHolidayActivities. Just go to your Username and click on Publish an online activity. On Online Activity Form when you get to 2nd step, simply choose between Skype or Zoom to host online experiences. 

Previously published in-person experiences can't be converted into online experiences. If you can to publish new idea for online experiences you can do so by heading towards "Publish an Online Activity"

 

What's different about hosting an Online Experience?

While the same standards of expertise, access, and connection apply to online experiences, hosting them necessarily requires some minor adjustments:

• Time and Commitment: 

Since people are quarantined and staying at home, the most appealing and immersive online experiences require just 1-2 hours of participation time and limited resources. A cooking class with difficult-to-find ingredients, for example, would not fit, but a tea party where guests just need to carry a heated beverage and a snack is far more manageable.

• Pricing and Availability:

There is also a lot of free content online, and charges for an online experience are usually less than what it costs to host in-person, so imagine charging less per guest than you would otherwise.
