We will be exploring Sussex – a beautiful and historic county on the south coast of England. Known for it’s rolling countryside, particularly the chalk hills of the South Downs National Park and many historic sites, including 1066 Country – the site of the Battle of Hastings. We can create the perfect Sussex tour for you – for history buffs, there are Roman remains, Norman churches and cathedrals, fairytale castles from the Middle Ages and Regency, Victorian and Edwardian seaside towns. For transport fans, there are many historic steam railways, including the renowned Bluebell Railway. Famous Sussex seaside towns, you might choose to visit on your tour include Brighton, Eastbourne, Hastings, Worthing, and Bognor Regis, all with great shingle beaches, museums, galleries, theatres, and many other attractions. There are quaint local harbours at Chichester and Rye and the beautiful sandy bay at Camber Sands. The places will also be visited : Bodiam Castle Beachy Head Gardens and Local Produce Many beautiful Sussex gardens are open to visitors, including Wakehurst Place, home of the National Seed Bank, Great Dixter, Batemans, Sheffield Park, Nymans, Merriments and many more. Sample some of the great produce Sussex has to offer, including local cider, with a visit to Middle Farm near Lewes, or any of the award-winning vineyards in the county. Tea rooms abound so you should be spoilt for choice when it comes to refreshments and our guides can help you decide from the many options on offer.
